PDA Center Training Opportunities

Implementer

Training on designing and implementing effective educational services for students with ASD. Topics covered include effective program components, assessment, instructional programming, progress monitoring, positive behavior support, visual strategies and collaboration. Topics are covered in the context of didactic presentations, coaching and hands on work with students as well as interactive activities.

Suggested for school teams seeking to develop effective programs for students with ASD.


 

Trainer

Training and technical assistance on professional development methods, increased expertise in specific topics, and evaluating school services for improvement. This is an opportunity for school district support staff to increase expertise in training school-based staff serving students with ASD, assessing the effectiveness of school-based programs, and/or providing in-class technical assistance to school teams.

Suggested for district level support staff seeking to expand their expertise in assisting school staff to develop and implement effective services for students with ASD.


 

Leadership

Training and action planning for systematically improving educational services for students with ASD at the state and district level. 

  • State leadership: State level leaders and trainers who have knowledge and expertise in services for students with ASD, accompanied by two – three district level teams
  • District leadership:  District level leaders and trainers who have knowledge and expertise in services for students with ASD, accompanied by two – six school-based teams

Topics covered: effective and efficient collaborative team structures, strategic action planning, team facilitation, and core topics identified through a needs assessment. Team work results in a measurable action plan for increasing inclusive, evidence-based educational practices for students with ASD. The Leadership Institute is preceded and followed by on-site group work to tailor the training to local needs and identify future actions to build and sustain improved services.

Suggested for state and county teams looking to improve services in a systemic manner.


 

Extended Consultation

Extended consultation is available for teams seeking long term consultation. Consultation services to be provided will be based on identified needs of the school district.

Suggested for teams who have completed implementer, trainer or leadership trainings and are seeking ongoing professional.

The PDA Center provides workshops regarding effective programming for students with ASD and related disorders. Topic may include, but are not limited to:

Fees

Implementer Training $15,000 (5 days training and 5 days on site support)
Trainer Training $15,000 (5 days training and 5 days on site support)
Extended Consultation $15,000 for 6 months (10 additional days)
Leadership Training $20,000 (5 days training and 5 days on site support)

 

Full-Day Rate $1500.00
Half-Day Rate $1000.00
Two-hour Rate $500.00
Hourly Rate $200.00

 

Duplicating $0.05 per copy
Mileage $0.505 per mile under 40 miles roundtrip*


Per diem, lodging, airfare and ground transportation charges apply if overnight stay required
For trips over 20 miles one-way, travel time at the stated hourly rate will be billed in lieu of mileage.*
